Bush Kinder / Forest School Professional Development gives educators the practical knowledge, confidence and tools to support meaningful outdoor learning. Through a combination of hands-on activities, discussion and reflection, participants explore how nature-based programs can encourage curiosity, independence, creativity, collaboration and a stronger connection to place.
Sessions can cover topics such as planning outdoor learning, balancing risk and benefit, using tools safely, supporting child-led play, working in different weather conditions and making nature-based experiences inclusive and manageable. The training can be adapted to suit early learning services, schools and educator teams at different stages of their outdoor learning journey.
